Rainy day, lost my camera charger, being attacked by a small cat, joined twitter.

Pretty much sums it up. Twitter is something I’ve long stayed away from, probably because I didn’t have a blog or a web site to promote. I’m finding it embarrassingly enjoyable. I already have one follower – hooray! –  and she even appears to be real. 

It’s rapidly going to my head.

Now I’m playing god with my following choices, shunning a few obvious ones just to mess with expectations. Do I want to follow every major US art museum except the Getty? Yes, I do. Let the Getty wonder what it did to alienate me.

I’ve locked myself in my room to get away from the cat, who gets aggressive when she’s bored and needs to play. I’m trying to get some select toy stores to grace my page with their presence. Hello, toy stores. Be my friends. Follow me on twitter. I’ll follow all of you except one. The one I snub will remind me of Los Angeles.

If the camera charger gets found, I will post a picture of the rainy day.

This could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship. . .

between the adult industry and little old anonymous me.  It will be a tumultuous friendship, to be sure.  I’m highly ambivalent about certain features of the adult landscape, like porn.  And I tend to be mean when I’m cranky.  Still, Madison Avenue has always told me that I’m worth it and I have to believe them.  Thanks for the confidence, Revlon.  Or L’oreal?  One of those.

The Federal Trade Commission is concerned about compensated product reviews and requires that bloggers render objective opinions.  Therefore, I will suppress any glee I might have felt at getting something free in the mail and give you my unvarnished assessment.  Varnish, by the way, is not something you want to put on a toy.  Toxic and not condom safe.

There is no substitute for the in-person experience you’ll get at a reputable, non-creepy sex shop with good employees.  However, I hope to be as informative as possible through the veil of the internet.  I’ll talk about safety issues relating to sex and related play.  I’ll recommend good products, some of which I own.  I’ll complain about things, hopefully in a jaunty fashion that makes me all the more endearing.  I’ll do all of these things later because now I’m off to have a beer.
